Convent

Rev. Sr. Rose Virginia, Provincial Superior and her team understood that it is high time to go to the interior place of Thrissur diocese to share the love of God and to be with the poor. They bought some land at Manalady which is away from Thrissur town.

                 In the midst of many inconveniences, Rev. Sr. Solomon and sisters started to stay at Manalady Catholic church on 18th June1995 onwards. As a part of their apostolic work, they started a nursery school in the church. Thrissur Archbishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Kundukulam inaugurated the new convent at Manalady  on 1st June 1996      and    named it as Holy Angels Convent. Sr. Vigilia was the first Superior.

              An English medium school with state syllabus (LKG to 3rd Std) started at that place on 3rd June 1996.  Irrespective of caste and creed, sisters visited all the houses of that place, listened their pains & agonies and helped them a lot through their prayers. Under the guidance of sisters, pious associations in the parish are very active. Sisters are active participants in the faith formation of the younger generation of Manalady.
