Convent

To be a holy presence at the heart of Venginissery, a zealous and devoted priest Rev. Fr. John Maliakkal longed the presence of FCC sisters there. He informed his craving desire to mother General Albertha. Mother Albertha discussed with Bishop and the Bishop granted the permission. A room was neatly prepared with the existing school for a temporary living of the sisters. On 24th May 1963 Bishop Mar George Alappat blessed the school and laid the foundation stone for a convent. The new convent is blessed on 3rd Feb 1970.

      Superiors came forward with the idea of founding an orphanage and a room of the convent was set apart for this purpose, started its service in the name of  Angelo Bhavan. The foundation stone for the orphanage was laid by Vicar General Rev. Fr. Ippu Irimpan. Within three years on 24th March 1976, Bishop Mar Joseph Kundukulam blessed this home.

             The sisters are working devotedly in the apostolic activities of the church. Preparation for the Holy mass, catechism, the activities of the church organization and house visit are few among them. The damaged part of the convent renovated in between 2008 - 2010. The sisters raise their heart in thanks for the marvelous providence of Jesus and continue their selfless service there.
