Convent

Inspired by the spirit of 2nd Vatican Council, a new house was erected at Manakody which is very near to Arimpur St.Gemma's Convent. It was inaugurated by Rt.Rev.Dr. Joseph Kundukulam on 15th May 1972 and Rev. Sr. Sosima was appointed as the first Sister Superior.

                 The main apostolic activity of the convent is education ministry. A creche was built with this convent to look after the small children of the poor local people who engaged in coolie work. Sisters are ready to prepare the children for first Holy Comunion. The presence of sisters is really a help for the poor people of that locality. The silver Jubilee of Vimalamatha was celebrated on 3rd April 1997.
